LEIGH ACADEMY MINSTER
LAT Central Academies
Leigh Academy Minster is a thriving academy situated in the heart of Kent and is committed to delivering a comprehensive and outstanding education for the students in our community. We are delighted to now be offering a T Level route for our Post 16 students, a point of difference from other local schools in the area.
As Principal, I am resolute in my dedication to our students, guaranteeing that each individual receives a high-quality, internationally-influenced academic curriculum that proudly highlights the rich history of the Island. Our Post 16 offer fully embraces this philosophy.
Students are able to handpick a range of Level 3 academic IB and A Level courses, alongside a wide range of high-quality vocational subjects, with our now further strengthened through our new T Level route. This comprehensive package allows us to fully support students chosen next steps, whether that be university, apprenticeships, or the workplace. Our Small School model also ensures that every student receives the same high-quality pastoral care as those in younger year groups, with a dedicated team of leaders and pastoral staff focused on supporting them to fulfil their ambitions.
Students in Hewlett College benefit from their own high-quality facilities, workspaces, and social spaces to facilitate their growth and development with us. We also ensure they have access to the latest cutting-edge technology and digital resources. Our timetable is built around their needs, with ring-fenced time specifically allocated to support students’ access to the wider world of work and independent study.
We hold high expectations of our students, requiring them to adhere to a business dress code and act as ambassadors for our academy. These expectations are fully supported by a high-quality programme of personal development, extra-curricular opportunities, career guidance, and skills development.
