The Leigh Academy offers excellent learning opportunities to our Post 16 students in our newly formed Post 16 Attenborough College.
Students can select from 32 subjects to study at Post 16 ranging in qualification types from A Levels, Level 3 BTECs and IB diplomas as well as the full International Baccalaureate Careers pathway programme. We are delighted to announce the introduction of our first T Level – Education and Childcare from September 2023.
As the flagship academy of Leigh Academies Trust, you will be joining us in an inspirational building hosting modern technology and fantastic facilities. We ensure that our students are prepared both academically and socially for their futures. We have a dedicated Post 16 team that supports our young people to their first choice destination Post 18, whether that be university, apprenticeship, employment or gap year.
Post 16 students will be able to benefit from our brand new Post 16 study area, with access to IT suite and kitchenette. Every student is loaned a Chromebook to use at home and in the academy for their two years of their Post 16 course.
